Two in One: Gift Card Holder & Photo Frame

Easel cards have been very popular lately and here is my version for my All You Can Create Card Buffet. You'll notice it is attached to a basic box (I like to say it is like a mini pizza box). It is the perfect size to hold a gift card, maybe some flat chocolates or a mini pen and set of post it notes. These would make marvelous and easy teacher gifts (of course you might opt for a stamped image rather than a photo).

Would you like to see a tutorial for this? If so, leave me a comment.

It's Official - It's a Winner

Each quarter we get together for a team meeting. There is always a card swap contest. We all create 6 cards to swap and then vote on our favorites. After winning the last couple, I have started to feel a bit stressed to always do better than the previous team meeting. This morning there were some darling cards (stiff competition) and I honestly was susprised when my card won. For my team members thank you for voting for my card, I promised I'll try to come up with something even better next time around :)

This card was inspired by a card we created at Convention - one of the many reasons I love attending!

Ooh La La - Bra & Panty Cards

click on any of the photos for a closer look

Just as I was getting ready to leave for Convention, I wanted to make one more piece of artwork for my All that Glitters Extravaganza class and an upcoming gathering to raise money for the 3 Day Breast Cancer walk. I thought it might be a bit of fun to create a bra card. At the last moment I almost did not bring the card with me to show at Convention because I wasn't totally sure about it. Imagine my surprise when I receive comment after comment about it - it was a HIT!

After returning from Convention, I brought it with me to the Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup, WA and you know what... I got the same reactions. That inspired me to offer it as part of my "All You Can Create Card Buffet" and to follow up with a bikini (with a bit more coverage) bottom.

These cards are extremely easy to create and are a great way to use up your left over paper. For the bra, I added a bit of Glitz Glue and Pearls For the bottom, I gathered my ribbon by pulling the white decorative piece running through the center.

Happy Accidents with "True Happiness"

While prepping for my All You Can Create "Card Buffet" (a la Stephanie - thanks for the addition to the class name), I had pulled a handful of stamp sets that I had yet to use and wanted to. One of those stamp sets was "True Happiness." Only thing is that it was facing away from me when inspiration struck.  Check out those mountains on the bottom or are they mountains...? Turns out they make a wonderful birthday banner. I love happy accidents!

August All You Can Create Cards - Life is Good

This last Sunday was our first All You Can Create class. We had so much fun and the ladies were amazing! I am so blessed to be surrounded by such spectacular people. Conversations were non-stop and the creating lasted two blissfully "cool" hours (it was in the high 90's outside). I'm so excited for the next class that I have already started creating for it.

The above card is just one of the 10 that attendees to had to select from. It was great to allow them to select the cards they liked the most and make multiples of their favorites. For me it was really fun to see what cards were the most popular. I'll be sharing photos of all the cards we created, so check back.
