Sweet & Simple

Tonight my downline and dear friend Renee stopped by with a need for two card ideas for an upcoming workshop. While my hubby and boys played with Kylie Jo (whom we love and adore), Renee and I created. This card is super simple and I tried really hard to make it more intricate (didn't look right). I finally gave into the simplicity and discovered I love the card. I hope the ladies at Renee's workshop like it too!
Paper: Perfect Day - Ink: Tulip - Stamps: Victorian Snowflake & Treasure Life (Sept Stamp of the Month...if you want this set, I do have extras) - Ribbon: White Daisy Organdy
Update on Billie - She is home from the hospital and laid Taylor to rest this last weekend. I am amazed by her strength and do my best to remain a strong steady friend. Thank you to those of you who have already sent cards of love, it deeply touches my heart and I look forward to sending her a package of cards from caring women. Much love, Christine

Request

I know that many wonderful people read my blog and I thank you for doing so. I have a request for a dear friend. Awhile back I posted that my friend was pregnant. Yesterday we received heart breaking news that the baby had passed. My friend, Billie, had to give birth and today Taylor Zane entered the world phyiscally, but her spirit was already in heaven. My friend longed to be a mother and tried for many years to become pregnant. As you can imagine she is devastated (as are all around her). Please say prayers for her that she will find comfort and be surrounded by angels.

My request is simple...if you have a card or would create a card to send her, I'd love to shower her with as much love, caring and compassion as possible. If you are someone I know already and would like to send her a card, please let me know and I'll send you her address. Otherwise, please send your cards directly to me at 20205 235th Ave SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038.

If you have experienced this first hand or have been involved closely, would you share what would have been the most meaningful thing someone did or would have done for you?

Something new from Originals

I have been a bad blogger and have not posted in such a long time. The good news is that I have been taking pictures of things to share, just haven't had the chance to share them quite yet. Here is one project I created to showcase our product at my local DSWA (dswa.org) meeting the other night. I used a 6 x 6 card layout from our newest book from Jeanette...Originals (lovin' it). This book makes creating cards so much faster and easier and is full of beautiful inspiration.

Working on Craft Fair Items

It's that time of year again. This year I have two craft fairs on top of completing the house. It would be super nice to have all my projects complete before it is time to move back in. As I continue to create, I'll share.
