Back From Alaska

We returned home yesterday from Alaska.  I took a ton of pictures, but it will most likely be sometime before I get the chance to go through all them and select the ones to share.  We had a good time and yet, are very happy to be at home and in our own bed.

Local Ladies (& any guys): You are invited to join me this Friday night for a creative time. Arrive as early as 6pm and stay as late as 12pm.  Bring any project that you want to work on or simply stop by and chat for awhile.  Look forward to seeing everyone!

My Sisters Keeper

I had the craziest (cool) thing happen to me yesterday.  A lady called from a local law office marketing My Sisters Keeper.  She asked if it would be okay if she sent me a book and some bookmarks.  Leery I waited for the catch, she only asked for my address (which can be located online anyhow).  I hung up perplexed, but thought I would wait it out.  Today I received a package in the mail (yes, the very next day). It included a brand new copy of Jodi Picoult's My Sisters Keeper, several posters and bookmarks.  It tickles me that I now have a book to give away, since I already purchased a copy and have it read.

I love how Jodi Picoult writes. It is one of those books (matter of fact so are the other books I have read by her) that you end up missing the characters when you finish the book.  It is rather sad, but it was a book that I didn't want to put down.  I hope that the movie will do the story justice - it was a great story.

Few Pictures to Share

Conner has picked up wearing his sunglasses just like Daddy.

Rocks, rocks and more rocks! Blake loves all things BOY!

This is such a Brian look - makes me smile! I love when I get real shots of people.

Might be hard to see at this size, but Conner has started blowing bubbles on a regular basis... especially when focusing on a task.

A fun family day!

He was not the least bit thrilled with the train and probably just as bothered that brother had taken off on it.  This shot was in between crying - I had shown himself on camera.

Blake is a riot... he has started this fake cry. Makes me laugh, does he really think he is convincing me.

This is the train that we got to ride yesterday.  Isn't that so cool!

Whenever we stop to get gas with Daddy, the boys love playing this little game.  Daddy "surprises" them from one side of the car and then from the other. They bust up every time he does it.  I love that they love him so much (and the he is such a wonderful Daddy).
